Far from development, Bri Bri represents an almost unknown ethnic group with aspirations of having their region. They are nomadic indigenous people but represent a significant group with some 400 families in Panama. Their food consists of plantains, cocoa, ñame and bananas. The group mainly fish and hunt. Their customs and traditions are similar to those of Ngobes and Bokotas, although they maintain their Bri Bri language. |
